Metamorphosis awarded preservation grant!

I’ve been awarded a grant for the restoration & preservation of my first film, Metamorphosis – from the Women’s Film Preservation Fund!  This honors Gabi’s story, and reclaims a chapter of trans history.  I still need to raise $15,000 to do the restoration with IndieCollect, ideally this summer.  DONATIONS can be made on our Walk by Me fiscal sponsor page, with the message “For Metamorphosis Restoration.” (Fun facts: Top doc editor Kate Amend edited Metamorphosis, and the talented Wendy Blackstone composed the score). Metamorphosis was the first U.S. feature documentary portrait of someone’s gender transition, and won Sundance’s Filmmakers Trophy in 1990 & aired on POV/PBS.
